Mt. Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station
The 5th Station of Mt. Fuji is a popular starting point for climbers and tourists. This station is located at about 2,300 meters (7,546 feet) above sea level. It offers amenities such as restrooms, shops, restaurants, and even lodging options. It's a great place to acclimate to the altitude before starting the climb. Even if you don't plan to climb, the 5th Station provides stunning views of the surrounding areas, including the Japanese Alps and, on clear days, views of Tokyo and the Pacific Ocean. For those climbing to the summit, this is a common starting point. From here, the ascent to the summit usually takes about 5-7 hours. The Shuttle Service starts for Mt.Fuji 5th Station in 6th of July till 10th September every year during Hiking season. The Shuttle service fee ¥ 2500 Japanese ( $20USD ). Lake Ashinoko Sky Line
Lake Ashinoko, also known as Lake Ashi, is a scenic lake in the Hakone area of Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. It is the stunning view of Mount Fuji, the surrounding mountains and its hot springs. A historic Shinto shrine located on the shores of the lake, known for its iconic red torii gate that appears to float on the water. Offers spectacular view of the lake and Mount Fuji as it travels between the Souzan and Togendai Stations. Sightseeing boats resembling Pirate Ships provide tours around the Lake, offering a unique way to experience the beauty of the area.
Owaku-dani Valley
Owaku-dani is a volcanic valley located in the Hakone region of Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Its known for its active sulfur vents and hot springs, and it offers visitors a unique experience with its scenic view, geothermal activity, and the opportunity to taste local delicacies like *Black Eggs* (eggs hard- boiled in the sulfuric hot springs, which turn the shells black.) The valley was created around 3000 years ago during the last eruption of Mount Hakone. It remains a popular tourist destination, providing a glimps into the dynamic volcanic activity of the area and stunning views of the Mount Fuji on clear days.
