This is the original tip-based walking tour of Amsterdam, offering real insights into the city from a local's perspective. With our tip-based formula, we serve travelers of all ages and budgets.
Our certified guides are real Amsterdammers and true ambassadors of the city. Our team is made up of history teachers, culture enthusiasts and real-life restaurateurs, ensuring we can offer you an experience that cannot be compared to the standard tour operator or guide.
Our guides not only learn about historic Amsterdam, but also advise you on which places to visit during your stay in the city, where to eat and drink, and which tourist traps to avoid. Come join us and get the most out of your Amsterdam experience.
Our tour begins at the National Monument at Dam Square, near where Amsterdam was founded. Our tour also ends here.
The historic palace was originally built as a town hall and is the most culturally important building in the Netherlands. A visit after the tour is highly recommended and can be booked on the Royal Palace website.
Stroll along Amsterdam's most famous landmark; the canal belt, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Follow us along the city's connecting arteries, its picturesque cobblestone streets and houseboats.
You will make your own way to the meeting points
Please meet us at the meeting point 10 minutes before the start. Your guide will be identified by a white umbrella with an orange Walking Tour logo on it. We will leave the place at the time of reservation, after which there will be no catching up of the group in the labyrinth of the city and the guide will not be available. Rain or snow, we are always there!
