The Racecourse Ground

The starting point of our tour and a cherished photostop alongside famous pub The Turf (admission to ground not included). The souvenir shop is open from 9:00am (closed Sundays).

Learn about the history of markets in Wrexham, with a little time for shopping at Ty Pawb, the People's Market.

St Giles Parish Church

Known as one of the Seven Wonders of Wales and one of the finest examples of ecclesiastical architecture in Wales, this 16th century church has many artworks and ancient artefacts within. It is the final resting place of Elihu Yale, whose tomb sits in the atmospheric churchyard. Donations to the Church funds are welcomed.

  • Meet our guide with the Wales Green Badge outside the shop at Wrexham AFC's Football Ground, officially called the STōK Racecourse, for your 90-minute walking tour of Wrexham and its welcoming community. Then take the bus to historic Chester, with our guide, for the second tour of our two cities.

End Points

  • You are then free to explore further in Chester or take a bus to return to Wrexham.
