In the first year of the Qianlong reign (1736), the embankment was built near the Linxi Fuh River, which is why it was named "Fuhe" as a homophone for "Fuh River." Visitors can enjoy Hakka cuisine in the area and explore the local farmers' market to learn about the lives of the local people.
The distance to the rural Hakka village is about 70 kilometers, after around 1-hour drive from downtown, we arrive at a 350-year-old ancient Hakka village. Here you can see the only existing Hakka Round-dragon House in Guangzhou, we will introduce you to the history and the interior arrangement of the house.
Take a stroll around the village to visit the homes of local residents, the ancestral halls, and the burial sites, gaining insight into Hakka ancestral culture and funeral customs. Finally, explore the lychee and satsuma orange orchards of the farmers. If you participate in this tour between June and early July or in January, you can pick lychees and taste both lychees and satsuma oranges during the harvest season.
