The early morning start and one and a half hour drive is well worth it, getting to the shore in time to watch the sun rise over the horizon. This will be a very exciting day with the wildlife of Zanzibar. Swimming close to the dolphins and watching them in their early morning travel across the water you may be close enough at times to touch them. Snorkeling at the reef will thrill you with colorful coral and schools of fish swarming all around you. The Salaam Cave Aquarium is a special sanctuary for sea turtles that protects them in this natural cave area. You will be in the water surrounded by them and can even feed them, as they are quite used to people. A unique feature of all of our tours is that just by booking with us, you will be helping to support our local charities focused on educating underpriviledged women and children. Fins Zanzibar Dolphins Tours
A car will pick you up from the hotel at 5:00 - 5:30 am for the ride to Kizimkazi, about an hour and a half to 2 hour drive, depending on your pickup location. When you arrive at the shore, a small boat will be waiting just as the sun comes up from the horizon. In about 20 minutes the boat will reach the area where the dolphins swim by and you will see them playing in the water right near your boat. Be ready to take lots of photos and videos. You will spend as much as an hour with the dolphins before heading back to the beach.
Kizimkazi Dimbani
The Salaam Cave aquarium its about 15 minutes drive from the beach. There you can walk down into the open natural cave to swim with sea turtles, feed them, and take picture and video. You can spend as much as an hour enjoying these beautiful creatures surrounding you. Time will be set aside for snacks or lunch on your own before the ride back to Stone Town. The guide is happy to make recommendations. Driving time back to Stone Town will take about one and a half hours.
