Divided into three distinct sections—fish, meat, vegetables & fruits—you’ll be captivated by the vibrant displays of fresh produce, exotic spices, and the hum of local commerce. Outside, don’t miss the scent of fragrant spices that swirl through the air, a reminder of Zanzibar’s historic spice trade. Next, Visit the House of Wonders (National Museum) to learn about Zanzibar's rich history, then head to Tippu Tip House, once home to the infamous 19th-century trader, where you’ll learn about Zanzibar’s role in the global spice & slave trade. Wander through narrow alleys, admiring intricate wooden doors & balconies, and visit landmarks like the Old Fort, a fortress built in the 17th century to defend against Portuguese invaders, then the Palace Museum &Old Dispensary.
