Your professional friendly dedicated guide will walk you to explore the St. Peter's Basilica, the church was built in over 120 years & it was commissioned to important artists of the Renaissance and Baroque times such as Bramante, Raphael, Michelangelo, Sangallo and Bernini. Once inside you will admire the impressive architecture & beautiful art-works. Your attention will be captured by the Michelangelo's "Pieta" & the bronze canopy projected by Bernini. The Dome decorated with beautiful mosaics from the Vatican School. Michelangelo has been working to the project of the Dome until his death at the age of 89 years. Your guide will walk you through the Papal Crypts to see Saint Peter's Tomb and of many other Popes. Your next adventure will take you up to the Dome, you will climb it partially with an elevator and then walk along 320 steps. Once on top you will enjoy a 360° amazing panoramic view of Rome.

St. Peter's Basilica

St. Peter's Basilica is a church built in the Renaissance style located in Vatican City. This is the largest Church in the world and the most important for Christianity. Designed principally by Donato Bramante, Michelangelo, Carlo Maderno and Gian Lorenzo Bernini, it is absolutely worth-seeing, both as a pilgrimage destination and as a cultural visit.

The Vatican Grottoes

Enjoy a visit to the Papal Grottoes, the vast crypt under St. Peter's Basilica. Built 3 meters below the level of the Basilica, they are located just under the great altar in the middle of the central nave.

St. Peter's Square

Enjoy the magnificent view of St. Peter's Square, large plaza located directly in front of St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican City. The open space in front of the basilica was redesigned by Gian Lorenzo Bernini from 1656 to 1667, under the order of Pope Alexander VII.
