Join us on an enriching Italian art tour that traces the masterpieces of sculptors Bernini, Borromini, and Michelangelo. Starting from our office on Via del Cardello 31, our first destination is the Basilica of San Pietro in Vincoli, where we will marvel at Michelangelo's striking sculpture of Moses. Next, we will explore the historic Campidoglio atop one of Rome's seven hills, before visiting the picturesque Piazza Navona, renowned for its stunning fountains, particularly Bernini's Fountain of the Four Rivers and the adjacent Church of Sant’Agnese in Agone. Our final stop will be the iconic Piazza di Spagna, where we will admire the Barcaccia fountain nestled at the foot of the famous Spanish Steps.
San Pietro in Vincoli, a Roman Catholic church in Rome, is renowned for housing Michelangelo's iconic statue of Moses, which is part of Pope Julius II's tomb. Originally built in the fifth century to preserve the chains of Saint Peter, the basilica stands out not only for its remarkable artistry and Michelangelo's impressive sculpture but also for its distinctive character that sets it apart from other Roman churches, making it a significant site for art and history enthusiasts.
On our Italian art tour, after visiting the Basilica of San Pietro in Vincoli to admire Michelangelo's Moses, we will proceed to Campidoglio, or Monte Capitolino, one of Rome's seven hills, designed by Michelangelo in the 16th century at the request of Pope Paul III to impress Emperor Charles V. Following this, we will visit the stunning Piazza Navona, renowned for its three magnificent fountains, including Bernini's famous Fountain of the Four Rivers, and the Church of Sant'Agnese in Agone, before concluding our tour at Piazza di Spagna, where we will focus on the Barcaccia fountain amid the iconic Spanish Steps.
