Start time: 3.00pm. Explore some of the most famous sites of ancient Florence while learning about the mysteries of its past. We will visit places where the city's most interesting secrets are hidden. Around the Baptistery and the Cathedral Then we will walk near Dante's house. Later we will stop to see the Palazzo Vecchio, famous for its civil architecture; for having been the main headquarters of the guilds; and site from where the Medici family exercised its political power. Being in Piazza della Signoria we see an open-air museum, composed of a number of statues including the copy of Michelangelo's David, and the very well hidden profile sculpted by Michelangelo. We will then walk through the wings of the Galleria degli Uffizi, we will cross the Ponte Vecchio, famous for its jewelry. Before finishing the excursion that ends in front of Palazzo Pitti, you will have discovered much more than you imagined during your stay in Florence.
