Megalochori - Traditional Village
The island's most traditional neighborhood with neoclassical mansions The region's soil has always been fertile; thus, there were many vineyards, and their residents earned money by producing wine. There are still a few kánaves (old cellars) left from the time when wine production was quite significant, with export to Russia.
Monastery of Profitis Ilias
Mount Profitis Ilias is a high mountain peak at an altitude of 567m (1,860 feet) above sea level, located between Pyrgos and Kamari on the east coast of Santorini. It is breathtaking.
Santo Wines
We will visit one of the best wineries in Santorini, situated in the traditional village of Pyrgos, in a wonderful area at the top of the caldera. Here we will taste 3 different types of wines. Santorini is known for its local grape varieties, as it has a huge winemaking tradition thanks to the rich volcanic soil and Santo Wines is a notable representative and the largest wine producer on the island dating back to 1947.
