Colosseum
Start at the Arch of Constantine and then move onto the colossal theater, the Coliseum, where fights between gladiators and beasts took place to please bloodthirsty Roman Emperors. Upwards of 50,000 spectators would gather beneath the cool awnings to witness the cruel battles unfold. Many events took place in the grand Coliseum arena, but we will leave the details to your private guide! NOTE that the Colossem tour will last 1 hour and 30 minutes will be dedicated to the Roman Forum from the outside. The rest of the time, 1,5 hours is the port transfer time.
Spanish Steps
Next, proceed to Spanish Steps, one of Rome’s most famous places to visit. Admire the Church of Trinità dei Monti, which sits at the top of the renowned stairwell with the Fontana Della Barcaccia at its foot. As you stand and listen to your guide, you will wonder how they were ever able to complete the marvelous Spanish Steps. - VATICAN IS CLOSED ON SUNDAYS (and religious holidays). Due to the Wow Tour's high request, we designed a Sunday experience when the Vatican is closed. With your guide, and your driver you will explore St. Peter's Square, Castel Sant' Angelo area and other marvelous sites like the Aventine hill; from its top, you enjoy spectacular views over the city. As an alternative we will prospose other museums or arcaeological sites!
- LIMITED MOBILITY Ancient Rome area and Vatican Museums visits involve SIGNIFICANT WALKING. The Roman Forum and Palatine surfaces are uneven, but a considerable portion of the area has wheelchair paths. Please note that the pathway from the Sistine Chapel to St Peter’s Basilica has 50 steps downwards and is not wheelchair accessible. The tour can continue to the Basilica only if all members of your private group can walk down the stairs, but, for safety reasons, it is not possible to carry wheelchairs and walkers down the stairs. If your private group includes participants with reduced mobility, we can still bring you to the Basilica, going back to the Museum's entrance and reaching it from the outside with the car. Although there is a dedicated pathway for wheelchairs, please be aware that there may be a queue to enter the Basilica. Also, note that other participants in your group will have to take charge of pushing the wheelchair.
