From there we will leave the Central Valley by route 1 to reach San Ramón approximately halfway through and make a stop to use the bathrooms, eat or simply stretch your legs. After this convenient stop we will continue down the mountains to reach the northern plains of Costa Rica and find La Fortuna right at the base of Arenal Volcano.
