Ourika Valley is a valley in the Moroccan High Atlas along the Ourika River. It is located around 30 km from Marrakech, and is essentially populated by Berber people speaking Shilha. Despite its proximity to Marrakech, it is still considered a relatively well-preserved valley, by its very nature a and traditional mountain way of life. 05 minutes for shooting
This interesting souk is open every Monday. To avoid finding yourself with the tourist buses coming from Marrakech, it is better to come early when the atmosphere is much more authentic. Tnine l'Ourika is located on the edge of the river, you can access it by a small road on the left (3 km). Soon you reach the crossroads with the road to Tahanaout, to the west. If you want to turn off towards Taroudant or the Col du Tizi n'Test, now is the time. As for us, we advise you to continue towards the Ourika by turning left; it is from there that the spectacle of the green nature of the valley begins. You can, if you wish, take the fork and go to Dar Caïd Ouriki, a village where nothing is to report, except the ruins of an old kasbah. The main road has many pleasant surprises in store for you.
When you get there to Setti fatma is a thirty-minute stiff walk from Setti Fatma takes you to the first of the seven cascades – and you really must be well-shod for this. If your leaning is more to relaxing than walking, you can enjoy a freshly-made tajine at one of the riverside restaurants.
