This 4-hour guided tour takes us from the heart of Holmenkollen to Tryvannstua, a traditional Norwegian “Skogshytte” or cabin in the wood, to enjoy a warm drink and treat by the fire. This is truly a favorite Norwegian pastime and these cabins are unreachable by modern transport. Winter in Oslo is truly unique and our cafe cabins in the forest are a hidden gem.

Tryvannstua is a traditional Norwegian “Skogshytte” or cabin in the wood where Norwegians typically hike to all year-round. Frognersteren is a popular year-round hiking area in Nordmarka in Oslo. It is located on the southern slope of Tryvannshøgda near Holmenkollen. Since 1891, Frognerseteren has operated as a restaurant for locals and tourists.
