Our first destination will be the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization. Do you know how many exhibits we are going to see here? The answer is 50,000 artifacts! Here, we can learn all about the history and evolution of Egyptian Civilization.
After that, we will visit the famed Islamic Fort, Saladin Citadel. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is almost 850 years old. It was built by the Sultan of Egypt, Salah Al-Din on Mokattam Hills. We can enjoy beautiful views of the city from the fort and learn its fascinating history.
Then, we shall proceed to one of the oldest markets in the Middle East, Khan El-Khalili Bazaar. This beautiful 14th century market still retains its glory. We will walk through the old lanes of the bazaar and you can pick up antiques or handicrafts from the shops as a souvenir to remember this beautiful journey.
Lastly, we will visit the prominent landmarks of Old Cairo such as the Hanging Church, the Church of St. Barbara, and the Church of Abu Serga.
As we conclude the tour, you will be dropped back to your hotel or selected location in Cairo by your tour guide.
