Oshino Hakkai

Fuji receives a lot of rainfall but there are no rivers. The volcanic soil easily allows water to pass through, and it all flows underground becoming groundwater. In Oshino-Hachikai, such underground water gushes out again and eight lakes and marshes were formed. Please take a look at the clear, beautiful water.

Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine

In Japanese belief, Mt. Fuji is a god. To climb this divine mountain, Shinto rituals are essential. There are four trails on Mt. Fuji, but the Yoshida-guchi trail accounts for 60% of climbers. The main shrine is the starting point of the Yoshida-guchi trail. Walking along the beautiful approach, pass through the tallest torii gate in Japan, and visit the main shrine, protected by a giant 1,000-year-old tree named Yoshi
