• First stop: Katsuo Temple Katsuo Temple｜The hidden temple of the god of victory More than 3,000 Daruma statues of all sizes are located in the temple - under the eaves, on the stone steps, and in the maple forest, their red bodies and moss form a strong visual impact, like a "living wish totem"
• Second stop: Miyama Thatched House Village Miyama Thatched House Village｜The Edo painting forgiven by time 50 Gassho-style thatched houses are spread along the Miyama River, and the roofs are like giant hands clasped together (tilted 60°!), using the Miscanthus thatching technique, and every 30 years, 500 people are required to work together to replace the roof, which can be called a "living architectural fossil".
• Third stop: Arashiyama Arashiyama｜The landscape theater of the Heian nobility The bamboo forest path of Tenryuji Temple-the hundred-meter-high bamboo dome filters the broken golden sunlight, and the bamboo waves are like Sanskrit sounds when the wind blows. It was once rated as "the top ten magic trails in the world" by "Lonely Planet". The Caoyuan Pond Garden of Tenryuji Temple, a world heritage site, uses Kameyama as the distant view and white sand as the sea of clouds. The dry landscape and the pond spring are integrated in a circular way. It is the concrete image of the cosmology of Ashikaga Takauji in commemoration of Emperor Go-Daigo.
• From the Zen universe of the thousand red Daruma statues in the mountain temple, falling into the Edo painting of the thatched house in Miyama, and finally hiding in the landscape sanctuary of the bamboo sea of Arashiyama. This one-day trip is like opening the "prism" of Kansai. Ancient beliefs, pastoral poetry and aristocratic elegance flow between light and shadow, creating a ritual journey through time and space.
