The tour begins in Tsurugaoka Hachimangu and Kamakura Komachidori, two of Kamakura's benchmarks in terms of daily life in the city. The Tsurugaoka Hachimangu is the most important shrine dedicated to samurai and Minamoto patron god, Hachiman. Shop at Kamakura Komachidori for a kitschy souvenir you can take home to your family and friends. After lunch, visit Hasedera Temple Nara, a temple complex devoted to the Buzan sect of Shingon Buddhism. Visit the Taiizan Kotokuin Shojosenji, another beautiful temple with a large statue of Buddha sitting at the center. Kamakura Koko Mae Station is a widely recognizable place for Slam Dunk fans – the railway station even has a memorial spot dedicated to the famous 90s anime classic!
