Both cities are administered by the Palestinian Authority while being isolated from Jerusalem due to Israel's construction of the 'Separation Barrier', hundreds of checkpoints, 'Israeli only' roads, and restrictions on travel into Jerusalem.

Itinerary

After being picked up in Tel Aviv, the group will travel through the settlement of Pisgat Ze’ev, and then onto Ramallah, entering through the checkpoint to reach the neighborhood of Kufr Akab. The Separation Wall divides the neighborhood from Jerusalem.

Arafat's Tomb

Next, the group will visit Arafat's Tomb and walk down the streets of this busy city, which is now the de-facto Capital for Palestinians in the West Bank. ADMISSION FEE: 10 NIS

Ma'ale Adumim
Pass-by Only

Once the group departs from Ramallah, we will travel through the Judean Desert, passing the settlement of Ma’ale Adumim, and Bethany, the site of the Tomb of Lazarus. We’ll travel for some of the way on a highway that is shared between the Israelis and the Palestinians, and then we will travel through Wadi al-Na'ar on roads that are restricted to Palestinians (and tourists).

  • Dress Code: Hebron is a religious city with socially conservative residents, and we ask you to respect this by dressing appropriately. The rule of thumb is that the only skin that should be showing is the face, lower arms, and hands. Basically no shorts for men or women - trousers (pants) are best for men and women - shirts closed to the neck and over the shoulders. If the weather is hot wear light loose clothing.
  • Travel Document: A current valid passport is required on the day of travel.
