Our guide can pick you up or meet you directly at the No. 32 parking lot of Lingyin Temple. In the morning, you will go visit one of the most renowned Buddhist temples in China. Founded in 326 AD during the Eastern Jin Dynasty, it boasts a history of about 1,700 years, making it among the ten ancient Chan temples in Chinese Buddhism. The name "Lingyin" signifies "where immortals hide," reflecting its secluded setting amidst lush greenery and serene surroundings. Here, you can listen to the tour guide's descriptions about the formation, changes, and the existence of the future Buddha and the present Buddha in Chinese Buddhism. Here, you can also place 18-bead bracelet over the incense to absorb blessings. You will also visit Fei Lai Feng. Here, the stone walls are embedded with numerous Buddha statues, seamlessly blending with the surrounding atmosphere of incense and worship.
Once the imperial precinct during the Southern Song Dynasty, today it is a unique blend of history, culture, and commerce. Walking down this street gives you a sense of the prosperity and vibrancy of the Southern Song era. On the street, you will find the remarkable "Jiangnan Tongwu" or the "Jiangnan Copper House." This structure is not only an architectural marvel almost entirely crafted from copper but also houses a museum dedicated to the artistry and craftsmanship of copper wares. If you have an interest in copper utensils, you can spend some time here appreciating the exhibits. You can choose to have a lunch break here or at the Lingyin Temple for a nice meal. You will have about 40 minutes spare time and just stroll around the streets.
