Flower Grade Deluxe: Prices vary depending on the grade of flowers
Program content can be tailor-made for each group. Please contact us if you have any requests. We offer a hands-on ikebana class where you can learn the traditional art of ikebana. The centuries-old art of ikebana began with offerings of flowers before the Buddha and developed along with the samurai culture. Ikebana in the tokonoma (alcove) was once considered the highest form of hospitality. Experienced ikebana masters will explain the basics of ikebana, from how to use floral scissors and a kenzan to how to drain water, while you experience ikebana firsthand. The activity takes approximately 60 minutes. Kimono rental is not included in the price. As an optional item, we offer a traditional Oshima Tsumugi haori (kimono jacket). If you would like to wear a kimono, please let us know when making your reservation. Further details will be provided via email.
