Giza
The Great Sphinx – The legendary statue with a lion’s body and a human face. The Great Sphinx of Giza is one of Egypt’s most iconic monuments. Carved from a single limestone block, it stands about 73 meters (240 feet) long and 20 meters (66 feet) high. The Sphinx is believed to represent Pharaoh Khafre, who ruled during the 4th Dynasty (c. 2558–2532 BCE).
