This magnificent monument showcases the history of the Boer Trekkers who left the Cape Colony around 1835. Today this monument is more of a heritage conservation the home of Afrikaner culture. Built on a hilltop you can see it from any direction of Pretoria.
Once home to the former President of South Africa Paul Kruger. The house now museum consists of the house and its furniture which portray the former president's personality opposite the house is the Kruger Church.
Originally market square the historic Church Square became known as church square because of the 3 churches that were previously built in the centre of the square. However, the centre is famous for the statue of Paul Kruger at the centre of the square. We will enjoy a guided walk at the church square enjoying the view of historic buildings surrounding the centre.
