Beng Mealea is the most mysterious temples at Angkor, as nature has well and truly run riot. Exploring this titanic of temples, built to the same floor plan as Angkor Wat, is the ultimate Indiana Jones experience. After visiting Beng Mealea then we take the long drive to Kbal Spean. Before we visit Kbal Spean we take a lunch break first around 12:00pm before we climb up to Kbal Spean.
Kbal Spean Kbal Spean consists of a series of stone rock relief carvings in sandstone formations of the river bed and banks. It is commonly known as the "Valley of a 1000 Lingas" or "The River of a Thousand Lingas". The motifs for stone carvings are mainly myriads of lingams (phallic symbol of Hindu god Shiva), depicted as neatly arranged bumps that cover the surface of a sandstone bed rock, and lingam-yoni designs. We must to walk trekking from the foot of mountain through jungle roughly one hour to see sculptures of the gods and Lingas carved under the riverbed, the symbol of the God Shiva’s supreme essence.
Banteay Srei is a 10th-century Hindu temple in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Also people called this temple as Ladies temple, the one which built from the pink sandstone in half of 10th century by Hindu King Rajendravarman II for dedicated to trinity Gods in Hindu mainly Shiva.
