The Egyptian Museum in Cairo
the Egyptian Museum in Cairo is one of the largest and most important museums of its kind in the world. It was established in 1902 and houses an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts, ranging from prehistoric times to the Roman period. The museum's collection includes everything from small objects like jewelry and household items to monumental sculptures and mummies of pharaohs and other important figures from ancient Egypt.
Pyramids of Giza
The Pyramids of Giza area. There you will find one of the most iconic and recognizable landmarks in the world. These ancient structures are located on the outskirts of Cairo and are believed to have been built over 4,500 years ago during the Old Kingdom period of ancient Egypt. The Giza complex consists of three main pyramids: the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure. The Great Pyramid, which is the largest and oldest of the three, is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It stands at a height of 147 meters and was constructed using over 2 million stone blocks, each weighing up to 80 tons. The Pyramids of Giza were built as tombs for pharaohs and their consorts, and were intended to protect their bodies and belongings for eternity
