Itinerary

Raymoghy Ancient Church

Travellers will be guided at Raymoghy Ancient Church. Walk in the footsteps of Saint Patrick. Documentary sources indicate that St. Patrick brought Christianity to the area and founded the abbey in the late 5th century. Brugach was consecrated the first bishop of the Abbey and a line of his successors continued at Raymochy until at least 731AD.

St Eunan's Cathedral

Travellers will be guided in one of Ireland's first monastic settlements. Saint Colmcille founded a monastic settlement on this site in the sixth century which was further developed by St. Eunan (627-704), the patron Saint of Raphoe. Travellers will also get a tour through the historic town of Raphoe & see Raphoe castle from the road as it is not accessible on foot.
