Construction of the temple began in 1997 and is ongoing, with Kositpipat continuing to add new elements to the site. The temple features a dramatic bridge that spans a small pond, representing the journey from the cycle of rebirth (symbolized by the dark, hand-covered bridge) to enlightenment (depicted by the bright, white temple itself). Wat Rong Seur Ten (Blue Temple)
Wat Rong Seur Ten also known as the Blue Temple is another stunning Buddhist temple located in Chiang Rai, Thailand. The temple was designed by Phuttha Kabkaew, a local artist who was influenced by the architectural style of Wat Rong Khun (the White Temple), and it was completed in 2016. The interior of Wat Rong Seur Ten is equally remarkable, with intricate murals and artwork, including a large, seated Buddha statue in the main hall, surrounded by blue tones and gold accents. The temple's name Rong Seur Ten translates roughly to "The House of the Dancing Lion" or "The Temple of the Dancing Lion," referring to a local myth and the symbolism of the lion in Buddhism, often associated with strength and protection. Wat Rong Seur Ten stands out not just for its color, but also for its unique and modern.
