Depart from your Beijing hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle at 8:00am and relax during the scenic drive to the Mutianyu section. (1.5 hours). The professional tour guide will give you an explication of the Great Wall and the related Chinese history and culture on the way. As one of the famous and best preserved sections of the Great Wall, it was first built in the mid-6th century during the Northern Qi, which is much earlier than the Badaling section. It is connected with Jiankou in the west and Jinshanling in the east. There are 23 towers on the Mutianyu Great Wall snaking the ridge for about 3000 meters. Mutianyu Great Wall is also famous for the breath-taking beautiful scenery. The woods cover over ninety-six percent of the total scenic area. At Mutianyu section,one is by using the cable car round trip, the second is a chair lift up and toboggan down(second is more fun).You will spend 2-3 hours hiking on the Wall.
After lunch at local Chinese restaurant, then heading to the China Aviation Museum (about 1 hour drive) China Aviation Museum is Asia’s largest museum displaying aircraft relics. It covers an area of more than 1,000 acres. The collection has in excess of 200 aircraft of over 100 types and more than 700 examples of weapons and equipment, such as surface to air missiles, antiaircraft artillery, air defense radar, aerial bombs, aerial camera.No ropes, fences or information boards make these aircraft perfect for photographing.The third part of the museum are the aprons, the grass, the corners of the airfield and even the small lake. Here the large aircraft and the helicopters can be found, together with even more fighters. This fantastic tour will end by driving you back to your centrally located hotel in Beijing.
