Completed in 1412, it served as the primary royal residence for centuries, hosting the last emperor of Korea until 1926.
Palace was constructed in 1418 alongside Changdeokgung Palace and primarily functioned as a residential complex for the royal family. Upon the demise of a king, the queens would relocate to this palace. Changgyeonggung Palace holds a wealth of historical accounts that shed light on the intricate relationships within the royal family.
