Vrijdagmarkt
The Vrijdagmarkt in the Belgian city of Ghent is one of the oldest squares in the city. The square is about one hectare in size and played a major role in the city's history.
Gravensteen
The Gravensteen is a medieval castle at Ghent, East Flanders in Belgium. The current castle dates from 1180 and was the residence of the Counts of Flanders until 1353. It was subsequently re-purposed as a court, prison, mint, and even as a cotton factory. It was restored over 1893–1903 and is now a museum and a major landmark in the city.
St. Veerleplein
Sint-Veerleplein is a square in the Belgian city of Ghent. The square is dominated on the north side by the Castle of the Counts. Behind the buildings runs the Lieve River to the west of the square and the Leie River to the south.
