Inspired by the legendary "haiduc" Radu Anghel—known as the Romanian Robin Hood—this trek takes you deep into the heart of the Carpathian Mountains, following the paths once trodden by outlaws and rebels at the dawn of the 19th century. Set in the stunning central region of Romania, our Trail winds its way through the untamed wilderness of the Leaota and Bucegi Mountains. These vast expanses of untouched forests and wild landscapes once provided refuge to haiducs, the Romanian outlaws who fought for justice by robbing the rich and helping the poor. Stories of their bravery and rebellion still echo through the quaint mountain villages we’ll encounter along the way, where folklore and history are tightly intertwined.
