A tour dedicated to the history of Milan during WW2. We will learn the importance of our city for the Italian war effort and how it became a target of Allied bombings, we will find the scars of war still visible on the most important monuments of the city. We will learn how the people struggle to survive these dramatic events entering an air shelter unknown to the thousands of people that every day walk the streets of Milano. We will follow the footsteps of Mussolini during the last days of his life and learn why the location called Piazzale Loreto was chosen to expose the corpses of the Duce and his mistress. We will learn the tragic fate of the Milanese Jew community and stories of the antifascist resistance during the war. World War Two and history of fascism will come alive in the very place s where history happened.
Pickup included
We will search for the scars of war still visibile on the Duomo of Milano and learn how the cathedral managed to survive the war.
We will see pictures of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele during the war and learn about important events happened in this building and surroundings.
We will follow the footsteps of Mussolini during the last days of his life in the actual locations where these important episodes of history happened.
