Petra is originally Togolese and is currently working in the IT sector in Budapest. Her love for food and cooking began early, when she assisted her mother in the kitchen as a child. Togolese cuisine has characteristics of many Western African cuisines, with an additional influence of German and French cuisines. Staple foods include plantain, beans, yam, millet and rice. She is very excited to share her passion, food and recipes with travelers from around the world. An experience with Petra is all about sharing a traditional Togolese meal, learning about the culture, dancing to African music and even getting your hair braided! Petra will teach you to cook two traditional West African dishes in your 1 hour hands-on cooking class. After which join Petra to share the meal you helped prepare.
• African cooking class with a Togolese native • Introduction to authentic, home-cooked Togolese cuisine • 100% private activity • Beer or sake to accompany your meal • Vegetarian options available
