The palace of the Prado de San José, which is its original name, was built in 1896 by Mr. Juan Manuel Sánchez y Gutiérrez de Castro, Duke of Almodóvar del Río, native of Jerez de la Frontera, attracted by the rise of Comillas with the arrival of King Alfonso XII. During the guided tour we will get to know the rooms on the main floor: the hall, the living room, the dining room, among others and a fantastic modernist style staircase, made with wood from the Fernado Poo colony in Guinea.
