Depart from Rome in the direction of Umbria, a region rich in olive trees and small medieval towns. We will pick you up from your hotel or apartment in Rome. The first stop of the tour will be the historic city of Assisi, famous for the Basilica of San Francesco and its atmosphere of spirituality and beauty. You will visit the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli where you can enter to retreat in prayer to the famous Porziuncola, one of the most important places of Franciscanism and a pilgrimage destination. With your local guide you can also visit the Basilica of Santa Chiara where his body is kept and the church that houses the recently beatified Carlo Acutis. After exploring the narrow streets and monuments of Assisi there is free time for lunch. The tour will continue to Orvieto, a city rich in history and charm, known for its majestic Gothic cathedral that you can also admire from the inside. Return to Rome is scheduled for late afternoon.
