JARLABANKES BRO - VIKING CAUSEWAY BRIDGE Jarlabanke's Bridge is an ancient Viking Age bridge named after the Viking chieftain Jarlabanke, who ordered its construction. The bridge is situated in the present-day Täby just north of Stockholm and is a remarkable historical site that dates back to the 11th century, making it one of the oldest known bridges in Sweden. Runestones by the site have inscriptions that mention Jarlabanke and his family, providing valuable information about the history of the area. The site consists of stones arranged in a square pattern, which might have served as seating for attendees.
