We invite you to join us on a unique 9-day trek through remote villages in the stunning green Caucasus Mountains along Azerbaijan's northern border. Discover unique people, places, and ancient traditions in our beautiful country while staying at local guest houses along the way. We will hike approximately 46 kilometers during these days, taking you up a stony trail toward the land of the Qriz people, one of the many ethnic groups in the Quba district, with roots in Caucasian Albania. Quba is home to 28 different ethnic groups living in isolated villages in this remote region. From Quba, our route will lead us to the remote villages of Jek, Elik, Bostankesh, Khinaliq, Qalakhudat, and Qriz. The Qriz villages retain a sense of isolation and a simple agricultural way of life. The unique lifestyle of its people makes Khinalig, one of Azerbaijan's famous mountain villages, often compared to an open-air museum.
