Nice Cathedral, also known as Cathédrale Sainte-Réparate de Nice, is a Catholic cathedral and the seat of the Diocese of Nice. Construction on the main body of the existing cathedral began in 1650 and was completed in 1685. Construction on the cathedral proceeded following its dedication in 1699, with new buildings and artistic components added in 1949. The cathedral is dedicated to the Virgin Mary's Assumption and Saint Reparata. It has been designated a national monument since August 9, 1906.

Nice's historic town is known as Vieux-Nice. During the day, it is alive with various stores, both traditional and modern, as well as art galleries.
