Itinerary

Taksim Square

The guide greets the guests in Taksim Square, shares insights about the square, and engages in a friendly conversation. Together, they walk to Sent Antuan Church, providing information about Istiklal Street along the way. After a 10-15 minute stroll, they arrive at the church. Taksim Square is a major cultural and commercial hub in Istanbul, known for its vibrant atmosphere and historical significance. It is home to the Republic Monument, which commemorates the founding of the Turkish Republic, and is surrounded by bustling shops, restaurants, and hotels, making it a central spot for both locals and tourists.

The guests will receive a 15-20 minute explanation of the church, followed by some free time. They will reconvene at the church entrance at 12:45/13:00. St. Anthony of Padua Church, located on Istiklal Street in Istanbul, is the largest Roman Catholic church in the city. Built in the early 20th century, it is known for its beautiful Neo-Gothic architecture and vibrant red brick facade.

Galata Tower

After leaving the church, the guide will accompany the guests on a 10-15 minute walk to Galata Tower, providing commentary along the way. Upon arrival, guests will have 45 minutes of free time to explore the tower, dine at nearby cafes, enjoy drinks at local bars, or shop in the neighborhood. The group will reconvene at 14:00, with meeting times being flexible. The Neve Shalom Synagogue is just a 5-minute walk from Galata Tower. The entrance fee to Galata Tower is 650₺. Galata Tower, a medieval stone tower in Istanbul, offers panoramic views of the city and the Bosphorus. Originally built in 1348 by the Genoese, it has served various purposes over the centuries, including as a watchtower and a fire tower.
