Experience the beauty of the Swartberg mountains (UNESCO World Heritage site) as you travel to the summit of the world famous, Swartberg Pass. This national monument dates back to 1881 and offers stunning panoramic views of the Little and Great Karoo which you can overlook over 200km with your bare eyes. From the summit guests are able to take a walk in the reserve between 500 different species of fauna and flora. There are several photo opportunities along this winding route which will leave you at awe. After the hike there’s an opportunity to add downhill mountain biking to get the adrenalin pumping. After the tour enjoy Traditional Karoo Cuisine at Kobus se Gat Restaurant. Feast on certified Karoo lamb chops, boerewors, ostrich kebabs, pumpkin fritters and variety of salads and vegetables all freshly harvested from the gardens at the restaurant. Freshly baked Roosterkoek (traditional bread) served with homemade marmalades forms part of the meal.
