We pass through Aberdeen, full of intriguing stories. We stop at a local coffee shop that sells art from local artists. For people interested in Seattle music history or the band Nirvana, we may can stop at the under the bridge memorial and childhood home for Kurt Cobain.
We enter the Quinault Rainforest and take a short hike amongst ancient trees, giant ferns, and other plants. The fresh air and surroundings of this temperate rainforest is a thrilling experience for a first time visitors and long time hikers. We take a rest stop at the Quinault Resort Lodge, which is where President Franklin D. Roosevelt stayed when he established Olympic National Park. The lodge has a perfect view of Lake Quinault.
We take walk along the gorgeous Ruby Beach. You will see large haystack rock formations and many logs strewn about the beach. This is raw and unique beach surprises many visitors. One awe struck visitor remarked, "I've been to a lot of beaches, but I've never been to one that looked and felt like this."
