This trip explores San Diego's transformation from its western origins to a modern international vacation spot. Starting in historic Little Italy, once home to the Italian community, you’ll witness its evolution into a hub of business and art. From there, you'll pass ships in the bay that explored the New World or patrolled in wartime before heading into the vibrant Gaslamp Quarter, once a red-light district, now a lively social scene. You'll journey through Mission Hills, passing homes and businesses over 50 years old, and visit Fort Stockton, Presidio Park, and Old Town San Diego, capturing the essence of the city’s military heritage and its rich blend of Spanish and American history.
