Pitumarca: The route is a bit far by bus but we do the walk in just 45 minutes to reach Mountain of Colors.
Sprinter: They are cars of the year with air conditioning, we also provide blankets.
Pickup included
Our team will pick you up at 4:00 am from the Plaza de Armas in Cusco and from hotels located in the city center of Cusco. If your hotel is outside the designated pick-up area, please contact us at least one day in advance to arrange a convenient meeting point. Alternatively, you can come to the Plaza de Armas at the scheduled time for pick-up.
After picking everyone up from their respective hotels, we will head directly to the town of Cusipata, a 2-hour drive. In Cusipata, our restaurant is located where we will have a hearty breakfast at 6:00 am to continue our journey.
After breakfast, we will continue our journey for 2 hours more to the village of Kayrawiri Alto. During this 2-hour drive, we will be treated to beautiful landscapes of rivers, adobe houses with thatched roofs, and a lot of alpacas and llamas. As we near the village of Kayrawiri, we will catch a distant glimpse of a vast expanse of snow, marking the famous Ausangate Mountain. Ausangate is considered the highest mountain in the Cusco region and was the most important Apu (sacred mountain) during the Inca era, as well as in the present day.
You can choose to be picked up from a list of locations, or alternatively, have the choice to make your own way to the meeting points
