See colossal oak barrels holding Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, followed by a wine tasting and explanation of its unique characteristics. In the afternoon, we will drop you off in Florence at your destination.

Lake TrasimenoPass-by Only
Our driver will pick you up at your location (hotel, B&B or private apartment) and take you on a drive through the rolling hills between Umbria and Tuscany. During the transfer we will pass near the Trasimeno lake, possible stop on request. Trasimeno Lake is located in the green heart of Umbria, amidst beds of reeds and charming white water lilies. It’s a true natural paradise home to wild ducks, cormorants, kites and kingfishers.
Cortona
First stop and free visit in Cortona: Cortona is the main cultural and artistic center of the Val di Chiana after Arezzo. Cortona founded by the Etruscans (Original name “Curtun”) still retains many of its original remains from the Etruscan period, also Cortona encloses diferents story from characters that boasts great Renaissance artists, such as Luca Signorelli and Beato Angelico, as well as Pietro di Cortona from the Baroque period. Cortona and its countryside inspired also the famous film "Under the tuscan sun". Just outside the city we will also visit the suggestive Hermitage of San Francesco named "Le Celle".
Montepulciano
Second stop with a free visit of the town and guided wine-tastings in the historic cellars of Montepulciano. Montepulciano is a medieval and Renaissance hill town. Renowned for its pork, cheese, "pici" pasta, lentils, and honey, it is known worldwide for its wine: Nobile and Red of Montepulciano. Our driver escort will guide you through the incredible underground cellars, where a qualiquified winemaker will show you gigantic oak barrels, in which the famous Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG and the Rosso di Montepulciano DOC “rest”. At the end of the visit, you will attend a delicious wine tasting of the best wines, with an explanation of their basic characteristics. If you like, during the tour our driver will show you excellent places to have a tuscan lunch, in the historic centre.
