Itinerary

Luxor

Our certified Egyptology tour guide will punctually collect you from your hotel or Nile cruise using an air-conditioned vehicle, marking the beginning of your captivating journey through Luxor's west bank. As you travel to the west bank, which takes approximately 40 minutes, you'll relish the picturesque Nile landscape and take in the lush farms and rural scenery of Luxor along the route.

Temple of Medinat Habu

Upon reaching Madinat Habu, situated at the southern tip of the Theban Necropolis, you'll encounter a historically significant site. It was here that the first documented labor strike in history, directed against King Ramses III, took place. This memorial temple dedicated to Ramses III stands as one of Egypt's remarkably well-preserved temples, enclosed within an imposing mud-brick wall that may have served a defensive purpose. As you explore, marvel at the regal palace, temples, and an array of intricately carved wall scenes that depict both memorial moments and Ramses III's victorious campaigns against the Sea Peoples.

Valle Delle Regine

Next, your journey takes you to the Valley of the Queens, also recognized as Wadi el-Melikat, a sacred burial ground for the wives and offspring of the Egyptian Kings, primarily from the 18th to the 20th Dynasties. In ancient times, it bore the name Ta-Set-Neferu, signifying "the place of beauty." Here, you'll discover over 90 tombs, each exquisitely adorned and displaying a distinct style. A notable example is the tomb of Queen Nefertari (QV66) from the 19th Dynasty, who was Ramses II's cherished wife and queen. Her tomb boasts impeccably preserved reliefs and stands as the largest and most breathtaking in the Valley of the Queens.
