The uniquely preserved late middle ages Boyana church is one of the best representatives of the pre-Renaissance ideas. A UNESCO world heritage since 1979!
Taking the road further up pass the monastery in 4 km we will stop the car and will hike for 15 mins. until we reach the Chapel Assumption of St. John next to the cave where he used to live for 7 years.
