Paris (Pass-by Only)

07:30 Departure from your Hotel in Paris by a comfortable air conditioned Mercedes minivan. There is 290 km to drive on a highway from Paris to Ghent. It takes around 3,5 hours. After a 1,5 hours drive a short stop at the rest area will be made.

Ghent

11:00 Arrival in Ghent. Audio-guided river boat cruise (about 40 minutes) will give You a lot of information and impressions about Ghent which is the capital and largest city of East Flanders, as well as the second sea port of Belgium. Ghent became a major settlement by the seventh century. You will get acquainted with the numerous monuments of the middle ages: the Cathedral of St. Nicholas, founded in 1038 and built until the beginning of the XII century, Beffroy, the tower of the city Council, 118 m high, which was built since 1377 and attached to it cloth rows, built-in 1445, the Church of our lady and St. Peter. 12:30 Departure to Bruges. It takes just 45 minutes (55 km).

Bruges

13:15 Arrival in Brugge. Lunch time. 14:15 - 16:15 Walking tour city Center Brugge. Bruges is the most visited Belgian city with middle ages buildings, picturesque canals, and rich history. During a walking tour of Bruges, take a look at the 83-meter Belfort bell tower, built-in 1240, located on the market square and included in the UNESCO world heritage list. Take a guided tour of the X-century city market. After the city tour, you will also have the opportunity to visit Yourself the Beguinage Monastery, founded in 1245 by Margaret of Constantinople, Countess of Flanders. Rusty the driver was very nice and spoke English well. The boat tour did not happen not sure why, so his option was a castle, which was closed. Next was Brugge, history tour- no chocolate and or beer tour. So, really we did not get what we signed up for but was a nice day just the same.
