During this tour, you'll engage in a dialogue with Ms. Ohnishi, the owner of a shop that produces sensu, or Japanese folding fans, at her traditional machiya townhouse, which is over 150 years old.
Experience a legacy that has been passed down through generations spanning over 100 years as you speak with her in a tranquil tea ceremony room.
For each part of the journey, a professional interpreter will guide you. A private taxi will also be available for transport from your accommodation.

We will pick you up by taxi at your accommodation and head to the experience location.
Onishi Tsune Shoten
Participate in an hour-long briefing at the store (Ohnishi Tsune Shoten), where you can observe the displayed sensu and witness craftsmen creating them. Then, enjoy tea in the tearoom of a traditional Kyoto machiya that's over 150 years old, followed by a one-hour dialogue with Ms. Rie Ohnishi, the owner of Ohnishi Tsune Shoten.
