After a hotel pickup, depart Antigua for the base of the Pacaya volcano. Sit back and relax on a bus during the 1-hour trip.

After a hotel pickup, depart Antigua for the base of the Pacaya volcano. Sit back and relax on a bus during the 1-hour trip. Upon arrival, the ascent begins with a local guide, walking through a large wooded area. Walk the trails of the volcanic area, appreciating views of the other volcanoes as well as the regional vegetation along the way. When you reach the plateau, see the main crater of the volcano from a distance. Observe the lava based on the activity of the volcano and some steam baths created by the heat of the Pacaya Volcano. After soaking up the spectacular views of the Agua, Fuego and Acatenango volcanoes at the top of Pacaya, begin the descent to the base, before taking the bus back to Antigua. The return time will be 1 hour.
