The Mutianyu Great Wall has several distinctive features. Firstly, it has a unique architectural style, with closely spaced watchtowers and perilous passes. The wall has battlements on both sides, and there is a rare general gateway platform connected with three enemy towers on the southeast side. Secondly, it is remarkably intact, mainly built with solid granite, 7-8 meters high and the top is 4-5 meters wide. Thirdly, the Mutianyu Great Wall is surrounded by beautiful scenery.
